We had GREAT reports on the CPC Accelerator call this week! (See the replay below if you missed it.)
We are proud to announce Statewide Petition Signing Events due to the success of our test events. The promotions brought lots of supporters out to sign the petition at parks, plazas, and public areas. We need your help to make this next big push a huge success!
The goal is to get at least 50 locations across Texas on the following two dates:
- Sunday, Oct 10, 2021 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday, Oct 12, 2021 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
We highly recommend hosting at the same location on both days. 2 CPCs will be all that is needed for most locations so if you have more CPCs, add another location in a different part of town.
Promotions will be launched for the entire event and the individual events. A great example was the event with David Nash in Kerrville at the city park. He had 25 RSVPS and 35 people come out and sign. The more locations we have, the bigger the success will be for each location.
Selecting a location: The best location is in a public place with high pedestrian traffic on these dates and times. At a minimum choose a public park or town plaza where no permit is required, parking is readily available, and petition signers can easily find you. There is no need to set up a table. Bring your clipboards, wear your CPC or TNM shirt, and bring a yard sign or a flag if needed to make it easier for people to find you.
The sidewalk across from Gruene Hall in Gruene, TX (a tourist town in the Texas Hill Country) is a great example. Sidewalks are public areas and you can set up on these in most places without a permit as long as you are not blocking people from walking by. It’s a well-known location that has lots of tourist traffic on weeknights and weekends. There is abundant free parking nearby. Town plazas or squares, city parks, and in front of public buildings like a library or courthouse can also be great spots.
Get your events submitted ASAP for the biggest promotional reach. Events submitted prior to Friday, October 1st will benefit from individual promotion.
Pledges are here!
Announced on last week’s Accelerator, this will be appearing on the leaderboard this week. We have a plan and a target. We need your help by pledging (a real commitment) to collecting a minimum number of signatures. Make your pledge to collect at least 30, 100, 200, 500, 1000, or 2000 signatures! 30 signatures can be gathered in just a couple of hours asking the public. 200 signatures needs 10-20 hours of actively asking for signatures and can be across multiple events. You can not change your pledge so be confident in your commitment.
We are growing at a rate to hit our goal in the next two months! Stay focused, work hard, have fun, and let’s get Texit on the ballot!
We also just added a CPC Facebook Group request to join it here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/224026793041142/
