Senate Bill 1663 Committee Hearing
April 11 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Senate Bill 1663, the Monument Protection Act, has cleared a major hurdle in the Texas Senate and you have a role to play in its future success.
The bill, authored by Senator Brandon Creighton, has been scheduled for a hearing in the Natural Resources Committee in the Texas Senate on April 11th at 9am in room E1.012 in the Texas Capitol.
This bill is a critical measure that establishes statutory protection for historical monuments and markers and prevents overzealous bureaucrats from using these pieces of Texas history as political pawns.
We encourage all supporters to either attend the hearing to register their support of SB1663 or contact the committee members and sound off on your support. If you plan to attend the hearing, please contact Suzi Dantzler, the TNM’s Legislative Director, as she will be handling on-site coordination for our efforts. You can email her at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at (361) 302-1836.
