Date | What Issue? | Interaction Type | Interaction | 2022-11-18 | Other | Personal visit | Wrote a letter to her as a voter, but did not mention my affiliation with TNM at this time. No one was in the office and it was locked. Long story short, I left the letter in the door and drove back to Greenville. About an hour after I got back, received a phone call from her office from 'Stella' . She said she would make sure the Senator got the letter. Gave a copy of the letter to my DD (Jay Vandiver) at our meetup last night. Will forward it to others in TNM if necessary. |
2023-01-26 | Texas Independence Referendum Act | Personal visit | My wife and I visited her in her office in Austin on opening day of the Legislature. Explained to her why the Referendum bill was important to us and ask for her support. She promised to read the copy of the bill that I had previously provided to her Chief of Staff Stella. (Stella has responded to several emails I have sent to the Senator, assuring me she would pass them on to her. I believe that she does.) Visit went very well and she assured me that she would study the issue. The next day, I FedExed a copy of TEXIT to her. |
2023-04-11 | Texas Independence Referendum Act | Personal visit | I met with Della Bryant, Angela's assistant, that staffs the local (Allen) office on Fridays at the end of March. She was very gracious and listened to my personal story. I gave her a copy of TEXIT, and mentioned the new book by Dragland, Let My People Go. I know the Senator and she probably remembers me as we used to go to the same church. I told her when HB3596 made it to the floor I would be requesting a teleconf. with the Senator. I also sent her a link with Founding Fathers quotes (Jefferson, Madison) supporting secession if a state wanted to. Good visit. |
