2023-03-30 | Texas Independence Referendum Act | Personal visit | I went by Senator Campbell's office and happened to catch her and her chief of staff as they were leaving the office, and spoke with them for a few minutes. I handed her the one page summary and told her this was important to me. She said she kind of liked the idea but WHAT IF THE CRAZY PEOPLE THAT RUN AUSTIN END UP IN CHARGE OF THE NEW REPUBLIC? I tried to steer the conversation back to the referendum, not the separation. She said she couldn't comment on supporting the bill itself until she read it. I told her it was very short and urged her to read it as soon as possible. It was a short conversation as she was heading to a meeting. |
