Handed her a personal letter and a copy of the bill. Informed her the bill is similar to last session's HB 1359 and offered to meet with Rep. Troxclair to review bill, answer questions, and get her stance on the bill. I emphasized in the letter that sponsoring the bill would send a message to her Texas Hill Country constituents that she supports letting their voices heard on the matter.
2023-03-22	Texas Independence Referendum Act	Personal visit	On 3/21/23 at Capitol office I spoke with Leg. Intern Paige Braden and gave her a letter to Rep. Troxclair requesting her to Co-Author HB 3596 AND TO MEET TO DISCUSS. Went back later that day and spoke with Director of Communications Catherine Van Arman asking for Rep. Troxclair's stance on HB 3596. My gut is she is gun-shy being a rookie Rep. and will remain neutral.
