2022-10-21 | Texas Independence Referendum Act | Personal visit | Oct 21 2022, Hutch, Cassandra and John Robinson and myself (with an RSVP) attended Lacey Hull TLR award luncheon at Willie G’s Galleria. We asked Mano DeAyala, candidate running for state rep dis 133, who was campaigning at the luncheon if he would like to talk to us and we invited him to our table. We told him we have a question from two voters of his, and would it be ok if we asked him the question on behalf of his two voters. He accepted the invitation and we then asked the Texit question. A lady from TLR came over and ended the entire interaction and did not let Mano respond. She also said, “I am the hostess of this event and I am not happy with you being here an enjoying this as my guest, ….as a hostess this is all about Lacey and I don’t want to have this going on…”. I RSVPED for the event. I felt invited. But not sure why she wouldn’t want people to be freely talking with one another. Seems we (Mano and I) were having a conversation in which consenting adults were talking. I extended and invitation and Mano accepted. The TLR lady added “same for Lacey” , so I suspect that meant don’t try to talk to Lacey. |

Dear Dr. Alford,
Thank you for writing to State Representative Lacey Hull regarding a referendum vote for Texas Independence. At this time, many bills have been filed by members of the Legislature, but will not be referred to a committee for further consideration until committee assignments are finalized next month. Additionally, the cut off for legislators to file bills is not until March. Should this legislation or anything similar come before the House for consideration, Rep. Hull will take your views into consideration. Rep. Hull appreciates hearing from her constituents and tracks all correspondence on legislative matters. Please continue to stay in contact with us on this or any other matters of importance to you.
Best regards,
Krysta Walker, District Director
State Representative Lacey Hull, Dist 138
