I knew from previous conversation with Senator Flores that he is personally opposed to the idea of Texas independence but he had indicated a willingness to abide by the wishes of the people in his district. With this in mind, I made the point that the TIRA is not a vote on secession but a chance for the people's voice to be heard on the issue. Contact information exchanged. 2023-03-09	Texas Independence Referendum Act	Personal visit	Met on 3/6/23 with Luke Owen, Legal Assistant, let him know that I was aware of Sen. Flores being personally opposed and his willingness to abide by the people in his district. Gave Luke a package that included a personal letter requesting support for TIRA, a draft of the then unfiled bill along with a TEXIT book and my contact info.
