TNM Local Groups are locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month). Anything that brings together 2 or more people to share the mission, vision, and principles of the TNM, as well as their experiences, counts — there’s no minimum number of attendees and a minimally-required format. These events (commonly referred to as “meetups”) take many formats: presentations, social gatherings, workshops, and others.
WHY SHOULD I JOIN A LOCAL GROUP?
We believe that the success of our movement lies in the connections that Texas Nationalists forge with one another and the community that is built around our vision of a free and independent Texas. Local groups are where this happens in real and lasting ways. It’s how we learn, grow, and act together to achieve our shared purpose.
HOW DO I LEAD A LOCAL GROUP OF MY OWN?
It’s easy! Check out our guide to get started.
WHAT DO LOCAL GROUPS DO?
TNM Local Groups engage in a variety of activities, all centered around building community to achieve our mission. The main activity of our local groups is the meetup. It’s where local groups gather on a regular basis to share information, learn more about Texas Nationalism, and build stronger bonds with one another. Local Groups often engage in activities outside of the meetups to engage their fellow Texans on issues that are important to the TNM.
WHERE DO LOCAL GROUPS MEET?
Different groups meet in different places. Some meet at the local library, some at a private residence, and some at a conference room of a local business. Some local groups meet and share a meal at a local restaurant. It all depends on the group.
