Congressman Chip Roy Signals Support for TEXIT Amid Border Crisis

In an unprecedented moment that’s resonating with many, Texas Congressman Chip Roy has made comments that are being interpreted as a signal towards the TEXIT movement, the drive for Texas Independence.

During a recent Rules Committee hearing, the Representative for Texas’ 21st Congressional District erupted in frustration over the ongoing border crisis. His impassioned statement, fueled by the continued strain Texas faces due to national policies, echoes a sentiment shared by many Texans.

In the heat of his frustration, Roy made an unexpected declaration: “At some point, Texas is gonna say, screw it enough. We’re gonna do whatever the hell we want to do.” He went on to clarify his position, stating, “I’ll be an advocate for that because the people in this congress are ignoring the people of Texas.”

This sentiment, shared by many Texans, resonates with the mission of the Texas Nationalist Movement: to secure and protect the political, cultural, and economic independence of the nation of Texas.

Congressman Roy’s comments serve as a stark reminder of the widening divide between Texas and the federal government. As the frustration and feelings of abandonment among Texans grow, so does the cry for TEXIT.

This isn’t an isolated voice in the wilderness either. Recent polls show a shift in public opinion that aligns with Roy’s statements. According to a 2022 SurveyUSA poll, 66% of likely Texas voters want TEXIT, including a staggering 76% of Texas Republicans. It seems Texans are growing increasingly weary of being ignored by the federal government.

Additionally, the platform of the Texas GOP has two planks, 33 and 225, which call for the Legislature to give Texans a vote on TEXIT. As constituents feel more and more overlooked, the number of candidates signing the Texas First pledge from the TNM’s Political Action Committee continues to rise.

The cry for Texas Independence is growing louder, and voices like Congressman Chip Roy’s add power to that chorus. Texans are tired of being ignored. They are tired of being a dumping ground for national problems without the power to protect their interests.

Watch the impassioned plea of Congressman Chip Roy below:

Do you share Congressman Roy’s frustration? Do you believe, like he does, that Texans should be deciding Texas’ future? If so, join us in our fight for TEXIT.

Sign the petition to give Texans a vote on TEXIT in March 2024. Add your voice to the chorus calling for Texas independence. It’s time for Texans to decide their own future.

As Texans, we have a clear choice. We can continue to bear the weight of a federal government that consistently overlooks us, or we can declare that enough is enough. As Congressman Roy so passionately expressed, perhaps it’s time for Texas to do “whatever the hell we want to do.”
