DC Capitol Police Opening Office In Texas Is An Affront To Our Sovereignty

The recent announcement by the U.S. Capitol Police to open regional field offices across the country, including in Texas, is a stark reminder of the overreach of federal power and the urgent need for Texas independence. The Texas Nationalist Movement strongly condemns this blatant disregard for state sovereignty.

The Capitol Police, traditionally tasked with protecting Congress and its members within the confines of Washington, D.C., is now extending its reach into states like Texas. This is not only an unnecessary duplication of the work already being done by local and state law enforcement and the FBI, but it also undermines the principle of state sovereignty enshrined in both the Texas and U.S. Constitutions.

This expansion of the Capitol Police’s jurisdiction to every corner of Texas is reminiscent of the Roman emperor’s praetorian guard, a force used to protect the personal interests of the ruler rather than the people. It’s a clear violation of our state’s sovereignty and an affront to the protections allegedly guaranteed by our constitutions.

Daniel Miller, President of the Texas Nationalist Movement, had this to say about the development: “This move by the Capitol Police is a stark reminder of why the push for TEXIT is more important than ever. It’s time for Texas to reclaim our right to self-governance and free ourselves from unnecessary federal interference.”

Ironically, while the federal government fails to secure our border with Mexico, it finds the resources to investigate threats against the people who have neglected their duty to protect our borders. This move seems less about ensuring the safety of members of Congress and more about sending a message to Texas and other states that Washington, D.C., now extends to every city, community, and neighborhood in our state.

Join the Texas Nationalist Movement and support TEXIT. Let’s stand together for Texas independence and show the federal government that Texas will not be controlled by Washington, D.C.
