Nate Smith has been a member of the TNM and an advocate for Texas Independence since 2009 and currently serves as a member of the National Leadership Team. He has held a variety of roles in service to the TNM, notably training 100s of petition circulators and directly gathering supporter commitments or petition signatures from over 2000 Texans. Mr. Smith has represented the TNM’s mission and the cause of self-determination at international conferences. However, he is not, nor has ever proclaimed to be, the “foreign minister” of the TNM.

Mr. Smith is also a native Texas singer and songwriter penning songs about his passions: liberty, love, and Texas, such as “Texan Arise” and “Leave it Better.” He has degrees in Business Administration and Hotel Restaurant Management from the University of Houston and has also trained in Professional Speaking and Performing. His professional career has included self-employment in the entertainment industry for over ten years, as well as IT services and water treatment.
