A Call To Action

  1. i need a list of items, points of benefit, from seceding from the union. and would one of those benefits be texas being the leader of encouraging other states to do the same? could the south actually rise again?

    1. Laura, most of us believe that whenever one State leaves, many others will follow. However, for most of us with the TNM, what other States do is of little importance. Independance does not mean joining another compact of States, including a rejuvenated CSA. As to a list of benefits, we can start with the 100-160 Billion a year that Texas, and Texans, send to Washington every year that never comes back. Or the millions of DC bureaucrats strangling the Texas economy we would no longer be answerable to. Or all of the new EOs that Biden is signing that would no longer apply to Texas. Or Texans not being enslaved by Trillions of dollars of uS debt. Not having Texas sons and daughters sent off to die in foreign lands fighting wars that are none of our business is a benefit. The reaons to leave are not difficult to find. The reasons to stay are what is a short list!

    2. in addition to what Tom Belmore has said the most important thing to me was reading the book “Texit” which explains and answers most of questions you may have. How I like to think of it “We are not southern we are Texans” Long live the Republic of Texas

  2. Laura Gonzales, ask yourself: What is the benefit of staying in the US? What is list of items, points of benefit, from staying in the union? Maybe the best question to ask is if you were not already in the US, would you join it given the trajectory of the federal .gov?

  3. New Member here, just letting everyone know that news about TEXIT is spreading fast. I just picked it up in a post on my “Signal app” feed. I spent time in Scotland back in 2015 and saw firsthand the disappointment of those that wanted to leave the UK. Thank goodness for the great write-up on learning from what went wrong with their efforts.

    1. Dan, yes, if we don’t get the Texit bill across the finish line this session, it will be disapppointing. But it will not be the end of the TNM. It took 6 legislative sessions to get concealed carry passed in Texas. We don’t quit, when the issue is as important somone’s right to be able to defend themselves. We won’t quit on this issue either. It is on the same level of importance, just on a State rather than individual level.

  4. I live in New Mexico and a member of Texit. I believe that Texas Independence will spread to other states. One of New Mexico’s most prosperous counties is Dona Ana NM. Just so happens that butts up against El Paso TX. Las Cruces City enjoys close proximity being 30 minutes from El Paso. New Mexico is completely closed down to covid even today ! Business is quickly vanishing. I lived in El Paso in 1963 and hope to return very soon. God is quickly turning His back on the evil territory. May He grant me my request to move to Texas and live in one of the most Christian God fearing states in this present nation. Texas MUST be free !

  5. Texit is the long term goal as it wends its way thru the legislature in preparation to a vote by Tx citizens. In the mean time we should be supporting AG Paxton’s suits against Obiden’s EO assault on our energy industry and border security. The fence construction should be restarted and immigration rules reinstated.

    1. Texas should be taking charge of immigration. No where in the constitution wass that power delegated tot eh general goernment, so, under the wordoing of the 10th Amendment, it is a power reserved to the States. Knowing the senior leadership of the TNM, I don’t see us expending any serious efforts to support Paxton’s lawsuits. We have a singular purpose, Texas independence, as defined in out mission statement. On a personal level, I consider his lawsuits to be a waste of time. Going into a “federal” court, asking them to limit the “federal” government is the logical equivalent of going to the Mafia don, and asking him to get all of his loansharks to lower their interest rates.

  6. I watched an interview with Daniel Miller yesterday, and he mentioned very briefly why we are not calling it secession. I missed the point he was making, and now I see that we have a bumper sticker in the store that says We Can Secede. What is the scoop on using this word?

    1. HI Erica, I’m new to the group so probably not the best person to answer your question about Daniel’s specific comments. But, I do know that “secession” is still a loaded term to many people. I prefer to say “we are going to exit a contract that no longer works for us.” Some of my friends like to call it a “political divorce”…the battered spouse analogy works well with some people. My favorite sassy answer, when friends ask if it’s “legal”, is to say “we’re going to walk away, because we can…our Texas Constitution says so.” I know it’s a little more complicated than that…but not much more. I find staying away from controversial terms like “secede” makes the conversation so much easier.

  7. We in the U.S.A. just Witnessed a Successful .’Political Coup’….Domestic and Foreign Forces planned this ‘Plandemic’ and ‘Voter Fraud’ ..in such a Blatant, Flagrant Fashion…’Don’t Even Care if You Catch Me Attitude’…Hard to Believe ..but they knew the Widespread Corruption, Lawlessness that Pervades American Government at ALL Levels would allow them to get away with it ….The Globalist /Deep State Cabal…is on Full Throttle….That is Why Texas Must Free itself from this Demonic Entanglement via TEXIT….Out Freedoms, Life and Liberties is on the Line….!!!!
