  1. Hello everyone,
I am a new member so if some of the items I would like to see have already been discussed I apologize. Personally I would like to see:

-A place on the website where we can contact someone local to us. Something like a county or regional contact person to help us get involved locally.
-A place on the website where we can hear about the good things other TNM Members are doing around the state. I know we have a blog section and that might be a perfect place for it.
-A place on the web site where there is a list of Texas National Friendly (they don’t necessarily have to support the TNM) candidates and lawmakers.
-A section on the web site that gives a step by step guide on how to get involved. i.e. First step = register to vote. Second step = write a letter supporting TEXAS Independence to your local representative (with a link to all of the office addresses of the state officials).
-Either more Texas Republic memorabilia in the store or a link to a store that offers such merchandise. I love what is in the TNM store but I am talking about things like a framed copy of the Texas Declaration of Independence or the Travis Letter. Things that can be displayed in an office setting that emphasizes the Texas Republic.
-A section on the website where (approved) photos of people showing Texas pride are posted. I believe this would put a face to the over 400,000 supporters we have and could constantly be changing to add a sense of momentum to the website.
-Not necessarily a web site issue; more post on the TNM Facebook page that can be shared. We have over 400,00 supporters we should be able to cover Facebook in post (I know we have had some trouble with Facebook however; items like the new #TEXIT book and Texas history post just to get the name out there into the mainstream and to garner a sense of momentum.)

It seems that once I got started I couldn’t stop. These are just some of my thoughts and as always you get what you pay for. Thank you for all of your hard work.

    Terry Sloan

  2. I’m 64 and have lived in Texas my whole life. I’ve visited other states for business and pleasure but kiss the ground in Texas as soon as I make it back home. I co-own a firearm business in Sweeny with my son (IrwinsToyBox.com). I retired from the oil, gas, chemical business 5 years ago after 37 years as a chemist. I’ve been married to my favorite wife 42 years. Progeny includes two thirty something children and 4 grandchildren. I am disgusted with DC and believe the state of Texas could resurrect the Republic of Texas and should. However, I believe something drastic will have to come out of DC for secession to move forward. Had Killary been elected, that would have done it. Not sure what the next catalyst will be but I’m convinced it’s just over the horizon.

    1. Agreed, Robert. Hillary being elected would have been huge for Texas independence, but maybe Trump needed to be elected just to show all of Texas that throwing one more politician at the problem wouldn’t fix it. I hope so. Anyway, you’re likely correct, it is just over the horizon. The way the topic has emerged in the mainstream and the interest Texans are showing interest, you can almost taste it!
