Daniel Miller, President of the Texas Nationalist Movement, will be a featured guest at a multi-day conference hosted by the Abbeville Institute commemorating the 250th anniversary of Thomas Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence.
The conference will examine the Declaration’s original meaning—not as a “proposition nation” document, but as the founding charter that affirmed the creation of thirteen free and independent States. Discussions will cover a wide range of decentralization topics, including the Declaration of Independence as the foundation for self-determination, states’ rights and sovereignty, secession as a legitimate political mechanism, and the modern application of decentralization principles.
The event brings together scholars and advocates from across the country for in-depth discussions on the historical, legal, and philosophical foundations of political decentralization and self-governance.
