Join us for a special memorial ceremony on the South side of the Llano Courthouse Square as we commemorate the 190th anniversary of one of the most pivotal moments in Texas history. On Tuesday, February 24th, we will gather at the Travis Alamo Letter plaque to honor the day William Barret Travis penned his stirring letter from the Alamo, a document that became a rallying cry for Texas independence and a testament to the courage and determination of those who fought for our state’s freedom. This brief ceremony will offer time for reflection on the sacrifices made by those who came before us and the legacy they left for all Texans.
This memorial provides an opportunity to pay tribute to the individuals whose contributions shaped the path to Texas independence and to connect with fellow Texans who share a deep appreciation for our state’s unique history and identity. Whether you are a longtime supporter or simply interested in learning more about this important chapter in Texas history, we invite you to join us for this meaningful observance.
